IPS Paint Supplies Directors Rising Stars for 2022
IPS Paint Supplies Directors, Joe Morgan-Thomas (29) and Dom Thomas (29), have each been named as one of the Body Shop 30-Under-30 Rising Stars in the UK collision repair industry.
Now in its sixth year, these nominations recognise and applaud the outstanding young achievers from across the vast spectrum of job functions within this industry – celebrating the talented youngsters who have already made their mark and are beginning to shape the future of tomorrow.
Joe and Dom were co-founders of IPS Paint Supplies back in 2019 along with another young director, Stephanie White. They had all formerly been appointed directors of FMP Motor Factors ahead of the sale of this company to a leading UK motor factor back in 2019.
Since the launch of IPS Paint Supplies, the organisation has gone from strength to strength, supplying an ever-growing range of leading brands and expanding its area of operation across South East Wales and into England. This growth and expansion resulted in the opening of a new Cardiff branch this summer with investment in additional delivery vans and employees.
About Joe and Dom
Joe has worked in the automotive industry since 2010, initially at FMP Motor Factors and now at IPS Paint Supplies. His role has grown and developed over the years and he has benefitted from his experience in working in different positions over the last 10 years including as a warehouse / operative and delivery driver to business development. Joe’s current role allows him to help shape and run the company from the experience he has gained. Going forward, he will be focussing his attention on new aspects of the business including growth of the Cardiff depot, development of an e-commerce website and expansion into the industrial market. Joe says that being nominated in these awards is an honour in itself.
Dom is a graduate from Neath College and he joined FMP Motor Factors in 2012 working in the finance and accounts department. He also held several roles in the company prior to the sale to Alliance Automotive three years ago. Though his current role at IPS Paint Supplies involves a mixture of tasks ranging from telesales and customer deliveries, his main responsibilities include heading up the financial side of the business and the marketing strategies for the organisation. Dom is a very hands on, motivational director who is determined to take the company to the next level – and like Joe his plans for the future include the further development of IPS Paint Supplies into evolving markets. He dedicates this award to his grandfather who has been his biggest inspiration, teaching him many lessons in life including to work hard for what he wants.
